Thongphoun Kounlavong has been named ITL Plant Manager, having served as Assistant Plant Manager since May of 2020 and Production Manager prior to that time. He joined the company in 2003 as an electronic technician. Kounlavong’s skilled management of an ever-expanding product line and streamlined operations teams for manufacturing, repair/technical support, warehousing/logistics, and shipping/receiving has been instrumental in bolstering the company’s strategic growth.
“ITL’s Executive Team has the utmost confidence in Phoun. He has consistently demonstrated a keen sense of fairness and an even-handed approach to every position he has held over the last 17+ years. His outstanding performance, loyalty, and dedicated service are qualities that strongly recommend him for his new role as Plant Manager and reflect who we are as a company,” said Roberto Schipp, ITL co-founder and president.
Kounlavong succeeds Kenny Mathis, who will serve in a new capacity at ITL as Director of Supply Chain Management. A positive-minded team player with a keen technical sensibility, an unwavering commitment to excellence, and an aptitude for organizational and project management, Kounlavong naturally evolved from an electronic technician into the role of Production Manager, with direct responsibility for delivering a continuously expanding range of state-of-the-art aviation obstruction lighting products, as well as managing the repair and service business for the company.
